Stone Arch Bridge- A former railroad bridge connecting St. Anthony Falls and Downtown Minneapolis, and the second oldest bridge crossing the Mississippi river, Stone Arch bridge is a must see! It stands high with its’ 23 unique arches, overlooking the stunning Minneapolis skyline and St. Anthony Lock and Dam.
Minnehaha Falls- Grab your picnic basket and visit a little oasis within a big city! The Minnehaha Falls are 53 feet tall and descend into the Mississippi river. The park provides winding trails to the falls, past wading pools and picture-perfect stone bridges to a sandy beach at the confluence of Minnehaha Creek and the Mississippi river. This is the perfect way to enjoy nature and a warm summer day!
Lake Bde Maka Ska- As the largest lake in Minneapolis, lake Bde Maka Ska is perfect for a date night or adventure with the family. There are trails around the lake where city goers’ bike, jog, or walk while enjoying the serenity of the lake. For those wanting to dip their toes in the water, there are beaches to swim at. You can even rent paddle boats, paddle boards, or kayaks to take for a spin!
Walker Art Center Sculpture Garden- Ahh.. the famous cherry and spoon! As an icon of Minneapolis, the sculpture garden unites greenspace and culture. The garden showcases more than 40 works of art from the Walker collection. Check out one of Minneapolis’ crown jewels, you won’t regret it!
Guthrie Theater- The structure of the Guthrie Theater is enough to turn heads. This Minneapolis gem was founded in 1962 and is dedicated to cultivating the Minneapolis music, theatre and art scene.
